Internship Description:
This is a 6-month internship opportunity.
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our IT Department as an IT
Support Intern. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience
in providing basic IT support services, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting
users with various technology-related tasks. This internship is an excellent opportunity
for someone looking to kickstart their career in IT support and gain practical skills in a
university setting.
Responsibilities:
● Provide first-line technical support to students, faculty, and staff via phone, email, or in person.
● Assist users with basic troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues.
● Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other peripheral
devices.
● Assist in the setup and configuration of software applications and operating
systems.
● Help users with account management tasks such as password resets and account creations.
● Document and track support requests using ticketing systems.
● Collaborate with IT team members to escalate complex issues when necessary.
● Assist in inventory management and asset tracking of IT equipment.
● Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions as required. Qualifications:
● Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
● Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
● Strong problem-solving skills independently.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
● Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
● Prior experience in customer service or technical support is a plus but not required.
