SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST - STOCKROOM

The Supply Chain Specialist will perform activities associated with the purchase of a wide range of supplies, materials, equipment, and services (maintenance, repair and business operations).

Standard Duties.
Reviews and documents investigation of complaints from various areas across the facility.
Create and review reports to summarize complaint, PPAP, audit, and other supplier business data.
Review and judge supplier 8D submissions, PPAP submissions, audit submissions, and other data requests to business benchmark criteria and generate a report of gaps or failures.
Interpret machine prints, welding prints, electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, process flow charts, routing of parts, etc.
to contain and resolve quality related problems.
Perform and sustain 5S activities required for maintaining a World Class business environment.
Use of handheld gauges (i.
., micrometers, calipers, etc.) Researches, writes, and edits documents for the business such as change request documents (CRD’s), reject tickets, procedures, work instructions, etc.
Organizes, maintains, and report supplier change management data.
Drives review & approval processes for supplier quality processes and follows-up with supplier representatives, internal stakeholders, and others as needed.
Organizes, maintains, and updates computer files of product-related documents.
Support other departments as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Safety, Health, and Physical Requirements.
May need to stand for long periods of time.
May require pushing or pulling or manual pallet jacks or hand carts containing full baskets of parts.
While performing this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and chemicals.
Lifting shoulder high up to 40 lbs.
periodically during the course of a shift.
Punctual attendance to work required.
Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment with moderate to high noise volume.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area in compliance with 5S.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
May require occasional work from heights.

Two (2) years of experience in supply chain or procurement directly supporting material purchases and services within automotive industry     REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES.
