Essential Functions % TIME • Provide technical consultation to Regional field sales force and direct to customers, by phone, email and in person.
35% • Develop rapport with top ten QC managers in the region.
15% • Manage the regional Requests for Technical Service system, and develop and interface with the laboratory.
5% • Plan, organize, implement and report new product field testing and new product introduction field tests.
5% • Provide technical training for customers and GCP Sales personnel as needed.
10% • Give talks and seminars to industry groups in many areas of admixture and concrete technology.
5% • Represent GCP in industry organization technical committees when appropriate.
10% • Testing to solve problems, gain business, retain business or change products.

Education · Education Level Education Details Required/Preferred Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree Geology or Sciences or Engineering or Construction Management or Concrete Technology or Business Required Work Experience Experience Experience Details Required/Preferred 8 years industry experience in either QC/QA for ready mix or pre-cast-prestress, a concrete testing lab, or concrete admixture company Required 6 years industry experience if holding an Associates degree Required 4 years industry experience if holding a Bachelor’s degree Required Other Knowledge and Ability Description Required/Preferred skilled in and able to perform field and laboratory test including Slump, Air Content, Unit Weight, Compressive Strength, Concrete Sampling, Aggregate Sampling, Laboratory Concrete Trials, Truck Concrete Trials and Mini Mixes Required collect, organize and analyze data as well as review and write technical reports Preferred conduct one’s job with minimal supervision Required handle cement and concrete technical questions, and be capable of dealing effectively with key customers.
