Search Relevance Engineer (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Search Relevance Engineer to join our international E-commerce team. The role focuses on continuously improving the search experience across our digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
Manage search relevance configurations and parameters in an Apache Solr-based engine. Define and maintain data processing rules within ETL workflows. Collaborate with Product Owners, data analysts, and search managers from various countries to translate business requirements into technical configurations. Work closely with data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to optimize relevance models, filters, mappings, and product listings. Participate in discovery sessions and architectural discussions with the technical team. Create and interpret technical and functional documentation, and transfer knowledge to operational units across different countries.
Profile:
Interest and willingness to learn about Apache Solr and its inner workings. Motivation to learn or prior knowledge of search algorithms, ETL processes, and relevance optimization (e.g., precision, recall, nDCG). Previous experience in first or second-level technical support is a plus. Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly understand complex tasks. Reliable, motivated, with strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and an innovative approach.
