OPEN INNOVATION SPECIALIST

We are looking for an Open Innovation Specialist, with experience in the field to join a multi￾skilled team specialized in open innovation projects in the field of transport, logistics and ports
for the participation in the operations of Opentop (Valenciaport Innovation Hub). More
precisely, the following activities are foreseen:
• Support to the open innovation processes, participating in challenge identification phase,
startup scouting activities, calls for startups, startup selection processes, and startup fit
analysis.
• Establishing and maintaining collaboration and business relationships with startups and with
companies in the port cluster.
• Follow-up of pilot projects, as well as the progress of the startups and other participants,
facilitating the relationship between startups and corporates in the sector.
• Participation in events representing Opentop and Fundacion Valenciaport, promoting its
open innovation initiatives and scouting for startup solutions that match with the challenges
of the sector.
• Collaboration with other teams in the organization to ensure the open innovation initiatives
are coordinated with projects in other areas, like Training and R&D&i.

Requisitos del puesto

• MSc’s in Civil, Industrial, Energy, Electric or Telecom Engineering are preferred. Other
relevant degrees could be considered. MBA will be highly valued.
• 2-year experience in the above mentioned activities or related functions.
• Experience and knowledge in the field of maritime, port and logistics, especially within
Valenciaport cluster will be highly valued.
• Fluent in English (excellent speaking and writing skills). Minimum level C1 or similar.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Excellent teamwork skills, strategic thinking, willingness and ability to work with no or little
supervision. Self-driven initiative and entrepreneurial attitude will be a plus.
• Availability to travel.

FUNDACIÓN VALENCIAPORT is a non-profit private organization, with more than 70
employees, located in Valencia (Spain), that provides services to the port and logistics cluster.
It is an Applied Research, Innovation, Training and International Cooperation centre dedicated
to the design, implementation and execution of R&D&I and consultancy projects specialized in
logistics, transport and ports, aimed at improving the competitiveness of companies and
institutions in the port logistics sector. With this objective, Fundación Valenciaport is leading
Opentop, the open innovation hub of Valenciaport, which connects startups and scaleups with
the companies of the sector through a set of open innovation programs and activities.
