The Quality Technician will assist with the implementation, maintenance and control of the quality management system.
The position is responsible for the performance of Quality Control testing, accurate data recording, and documenting compliance to specification of the Hoosick Falls product base.

The Quality Control Technician must be capable of working independently and without supervision for extended periods of time, often multiple hours.
The successful Quality Control Technician will also be capable of scheduling, prioritizing, and managing their own time in order to complete the necessary tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes the following.

Required testing of all manufactured products (all departments) following required protocols using hand-held, bench-top, and specialty equipment with no support or supervision Provide test results to Production Provide visual inspection of product and product packaging.
Must be capable of working independently and reliably to complete needed tasks in support of Production, Shipping, and Customers Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions Maintain all records pertaining to testing performed Perform data entry for all product tests Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the shift supervisor / department manager Maintain the work areas and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations Must be willing to accept and receive supervision and assistance as well as participate as a team member Work with multiple functional areas including R&D, Process Engineering, Production, Material and Shipping, and Customer Care ¿Es este trabajo para ti? Must be able to follow SOPs, observe safety procedures and report unsafe practices or situations to management.
Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal Must be able to effectively communicate to Quality leadership and site management about production issues.
Physical Demands.
Individual sits and works at a computer, manufacturing work benches, and inspection stations for long periods of time.
Requires walking, primarily on a level surface throughout the day.
May need to traverse uneven terrain and climb stairs/steps periodically.
Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required with proper lifting techniques.
May include lifting up to 25 pounds on occasion.
