The overriding objective is to support, drive, and facilitate incremental margin and revenue growth through commercial analysis and action. The successful candidate will be an analytical and independent decision-maker with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. They will be inquisitive in nature and confident in communicating with all departments in the organization. A proactive “make it happen” attitude with the confidence to step outside immediate boundaries to find solutions and success is key.Location: Lisbon, Paris, Madrid or London Office.RESPONSIBILITIES:Market knowledge:Research using internal and external sources to understand voice terminating market costs, international regulations, alternative suppliers, key players, and traffic flows.Partner with Sales to understand customer requirements, segments, and price points.Ability to obtain market knowledge is vital in order to successfully carry out the following:Market Making:Bilateral Deals & Swaps:Understanding commercials, reviewing and approval of bilateral deals and swaps proposed by Sales.Offer solutions to maximize margins and push for growth.Ensure deals support company strategy and objectives.Provide a market-competitive cost base, and monitor deal performance and profitability.Pricing:Competitive product and customer exception pricing to ensure growth; maximize margin of available capacity; or to protect existing business and margins.Drive towards margin growth using multiple strategies and creating new ones.Full pricing responsibility of regional portfolio.Margin Assurance: Monitor current portfolio margin and maximize wherever possible.Timely review and action on market increases, margin risks, and alerts.Understanding of commercials mixed with financials that can drive accounts.Create, approve, and execute country strategy and tactics for the Voice business in collaboration with Country Manager Sales.Bridge internal regional and cross-regional sales by matching selling with the buying side, as well as identifying and chasing lost customer traffic streams.Strive to achieve a market-competitive cost base. Partner with Routing on vendor selection, deal volume, and cost needs.Review and approve customization outside of products (routing exceptions, special deals, pricing blends).ABOUT YOU:You are an energetic and flexible team player.You are self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.You are analytically minded.You have excellent social and communication skills.YOU’LL BRING:Commercial acumen to balance risk and reward in order to achieve a desired commercial benefit and identify opportunities to increase revenues and profits.Excellent and proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to determine appropriate decisions and actions.Confident personality with strong interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational, written, and verbal skills.Eye for detail with an ability to quickly comprehend technical concepts and incorporate them into analysis.One or more years of experience performing in an analyst capacity (Voice telecommunications preferred but not essential as full training provided).BSc/BA degree with a business, finance, or analytical background, or equivalent experience within the telecommunications industry.Very strong working knowledge of MS Excel.Ability to travel internationally required.
