Apply now and become part of our team! Job Description In this role, you will operate at the core of our digital workplace infrastructure, supporting engineering and application teams across the organization.
Focusing on Citrix-based 3D VDI environments, you will ensure a reliable virtual desktop experience for users working with demanding CAD applications.
Manage and support Citrix-based VDI environments, tailored for 3D/CAD workloads (e.
., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for end users, ensuring performance, usability, and availability of virtual workspaces.
Maintain and optimize Citrix platforms as well as related backend systems while contributing to upgrades, rollouts, and migrations within the virtual environment.
Evaluate new technologies and configurations to enhance system stability, scalability, and user satisfaction, while contributing to the development of future-ready 3D workplace solutions and cloud desktop strategies.
Conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous service improvement for complex workplace issues.
Troubleshoot incidents across the virtual desktop stack, from infrastructure to application layers.
Support global digitalization initiatives with high-performing virtual workplaces while driving their automation and standardization.
Act as a trusted advisor for internal stakeholders such as engineering departments and project teams.
Collaborate with external operation teams, vendors, and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications Completed university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field (or a comparable qualification).
Solid hands-on experience with Citrix technologies (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix DaaS, HDX 3D Pro), combined with strong knowledge of virtualization environments (e.
., VMware).
Familiarity with NVIDIA GRID/vGPU technology and GPU resource management in virtual environments.
Experience in managing and supporting enterprise workplace environments as well as end-user computing.
Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in Windows, virtualization, networking, and CAD software integration.
Structured and solution-oriented working style with a focus on user satisfaction.
Strong communication skills with a proactive mindset and a high sense of ownership.
Excellent English skills, both written and spoken; German or Spanish skills are a plus.
Willingness to travel (approx.
