Incumbents apply in-depth knowledge in an IT Infrastructure area of specialization.
Work is performed within established professional standards and practices.
Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors and a considerable degree of judgement.
Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the division’s/department’s operations, schedules, and/or performance goals.
Works under minimum Supervision.
Seeks approval from others on matters outside of job/role scope.
Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives and possible solutions.
Unusual problems are solved jointly with other team members and/or the manager.
Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job/role accountabilities, such as relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal service.
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following.
He or she will operate, manage and monitor the whole infrastructure of the Valencia’s site including technologies like virtualization environment, virtual and physical servers, security tools, network components, backup, databases (DB admin), TS and others.
Uphold local security procedures to ensure adherence to all legal obligations, corporate directives, internal policies, and relevant external standards.
Maintain relationships with vendors in order to keep up to date the whole infrastructure (licenses, versions and external support).
Maintain relationships with corporate IT departments to support global initiatives and projects at the local level.
Manage and support user requests and manage infrastructure incidents.
Gathers Business Requirements and prepares documents based on those requirements (i.
.
requirements document, solution design, etc.).
Interacts with the business community and customers to understand business processes and define tools that can be leveraged to optimize the business process, security, and/or efficiency.
Ensures team members are provided with timely and accurate project information and status updates.
Ensure all systems are running in compliance with company and site policies.
Plan, analyse and document tests in compliance with policies and regulations.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies.
In-depth knowledge of infrastructure technologies and IT processes.
Ability to Identify, gather, analyse and properly document system requirements.
Capable of ensuring that documents plus practices attain quality standards and applicable regulatory conformance.
Ability to propose solutions and collaborate in defining procedures and processes regarding the IT infrastructure area.
At least 5 years of proven skills on implementation of infrastructure projects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work through technical issues with customers both remotely and in person.
Deep knowledge in administration of relational Databases (MSSQL and/or PostreSQL), MS Active Directory, IIS, and Terminal Services environments.
Ability to analyze and understand business requirements and to design solution specifications.
This position requires a high energy level and a passion for excellence.
Proven skills in project management.
Organization and time management with little overall supervision.
Excellent technical knowledge in specialized domains.
Very good command of written & spoken Spanish.
Good command of written & spoken English.
Experience.
Minimum of 5 years of IT infrastructure management, IT project management, security management and Data Base administration is a must.
Will also be a significant plus.
CMMC, ISO x, NIST Framework.
CISP, CISA or CISM.
Education and certifications.
Bachelor degree in computer software, industrial, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.
