IPVPN SOLUTION ARCHITECT

Your day to day.
To provide the detailed technical design and develop complex customer solutions for high-profile accounts – this includes solutions from an evolving set of data products and services, but with particular emphasis on fixed connectivity incl.
(global) IP VPN and unified communications.
Consulting the external customer, building credibility and confidence in Vodafone as a solutions provider.
Working closely with High-Level Solution Consultants, external partners as well as local Technical Solution Architects and local Network Engineers from various markets during the Pre-Sales and Build phase to ensure that innovative solutions are developed that meet customer requirements and can be implemented with minimum business disruption; focusing on technical aspects and coordination of interfaces.
Assuring development of the solution in time and at quality levels agreed with the customer, providing technical leadership and implementation support.
Resolving technical problems potentially encountered by enterprise customers as they integrate with Vodafone’s data solutions.

•    Provide technical advice & support for complex customer requirements during (Pre and Post) Sales Phase o    Engage with customers to understand technical requirements and underlying business drivers, supporting the Sales team and High-Level Solution designers o    Sign-off High-Level Design developed by Solution Architects in Enterprise Sales / VGE   •    Develop detailed technical design that will deliver optimum solution for complex customer requirements and produce appropriate design documents  o    Complete the detailed solution design in accordance with Vodafone’s design methodology, ensuring compliance of third party design deliverables; coordinating local technical solution architects, network engineers, operations and external partners across various markets o    Develop implementation and migration concept o    Ensure E2E solution design incl.
ability to manage solution in lifecycle (moves, changes, e.
.
capacity increases) •    Coordinate technical implementation and take full responsibility for the success of technical components of international delivery projects, delivering a differentiated customer experience o    Drive the migrations (with pre-agreed availability out of business hours) o    Closely work with third parties as well as local Technical Solution Architects (from local TES) and local Network Engineers from various markets o    Manage external interfaces during build phase, e.
., with solution providers (Cisco, Alcatel, NCR, Dimension Data, etc.) for resolution of technical issues   •    Establish professional relationships with key stakeholders and manage interfaces effectively o    Regularly report design / delivery status into Project Manager and effectively manage design risks and issues    •    Maintain required technical knowledge up-to-date and drive innovation o    Maintains industry-recognised certification for networking and/or security technologies (e.
.
Cisco)  o    Maintain in-depth technical knowledge of core technologies embedded within solution (e.
.
IP networking, SSL VPN, firewalls, anti-virus, encryption, etc.) With these skills you are a great candidate.
•    Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering connectivity / LAN & WAN / Global IP VPN solutions, preferably gained in a large enterprise, multi-country and multi-product environment •    Telecoms background and experience •    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – confidence and professionalism both in working with multinational project teams and with clients on various levels of the organisation, from technical audiences to senior management •    Analytical and critical thinking; innovative problem solving capability for complex customer requirements •    Self-starter with a clear can-do mentality, ability to work under pressure from both customers and internal stakeholders and produces solution designs that are deliverable, strong commercial acumen.
Must have technical / professional qualifications.
•    University degree in engineering or IT,  at least 3 years experience in dealing with large, corporate customers in a technical solution design or consultancy role •    CCNP / CCDP certification or equivalent certification with technical knowledge of •    LAN Technology (Ethernet, WiFi),  WAN Access Technology (xDSL, Ethernet, SDH), IP Networking,  Voice Networking •    SDWAN (Cisco, Juniper, Meraki, VMWare, Forti) & Cloud Knowledge   Sounds like the perfect job?
