The role The Treasury Specialist will be responsible for the execution and control of collection and payment operations, bank reconciliation, and monitoring treasury positions.
To ensure the efficient daily management of the company's liquidity, guaranteeing the availability of funds to meet payment obligations and optimizing financial resources.
Key Functions and Responsibilities Daily Treasury Position Management.
Daily monitoring and tracking of balances in all company bank accounts.
Preparation and updating of the short and medium-term treasury budget.
Forecasting liquidity needs and planning cash flows.
Collections and Payments Management.
Preparation, issuance, and accounting of payment remittances to suppliers, payroll, taxes, and other creditors, through different methods (transfers, confirming, promissory notes).
Monitoring and management of the client collection portfolio, managing direct debit remittances and handling potential incidents.
Control and accounting of corporate credit card transactions.
Bank Reconciliation.
Perform periodic (daily, weekly, or monthly) reconciliation of all company bank accounts, ensuring correspondence between accounting records and bank statements.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or unidentified items.
Relationship with Financial Institutions.
Serve as the daily operational point of contact with banks for managing transfers, requesting information, resolving incidents, and other banking operations.
Maintenance and filing of banking documentation.
Reporting and Analysis.
Preparation of periodic reports on the treasury situation, cash flows, and debt/investment position.
Analysis of variances between forecasts and actual results.
Collaboration in the monthly and annual accounting closing process related to the treasury area.
Other Functions.
Support in negotiating banking conditions and in seeking new financing sources or surplus investment products.
Participation in the implementation and improvement of treasury management systems (ERPs, specialized software).
Management and control of bank guarantees and sureties.
Maintenance and continuous clearing of transitory accounting accounts.
Academic Background.
University degree in Business Administration and Management (ADE), Economics, Finance and Accounting, or similar.
Postgraduate training or specialization in Treasury or Financial Management will be valued.
Professional Experience.
A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position within a company's treasury department or in a financial institution.
Technical Knowledge.
Solid knowledge of financial accounting.
Advanced proficiency in office tools, especially Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced functions).
Experience using SAP S/4HANA.
Knowledge of specific treasury management software will be valued.
Languages.
Intermediate level of English (B2 or higher) Personal Skills.
