An opportunity has arisen for a PBX Agent position to join our Reservations Department.
To confidently operate Switchboard consoles, paging system and associated computer equipment in accordance with departmental procedures.
To fully understand the functions of each key on the Switchboard.
To accept and relay messages of guest and hotel guests, visitors, outside callers, and staff.
To provide that 'Extra Service'.

To project the image of "nothing is too much trouble" to all telephone callers.
To provide first class service and information to hotel guests, visitors, outside callers, and staff.
To be proficient in all aspects of emergency procedures.
To remain calm, alert, and efficient in the event of a major incident or problem at the hotel, remember that this role is vital in such instances.
Contribute to and maintain a clean, orderly, and businesslike working environment, ensuring minimal background noise and conversation, which could transmit through sensitive headsets, through to callers.
To be familiar with all extensions in the hotel and the staff who use them.
To be familiar with Mercury Operator Services.
To be familiar with all equipment suppliers' telephone numbers in the event of any faults occurring, enabling you to report the fault.
To take F&B reservations and In room dining orders and process all details according to the hotel’s policies and procedures to the highest standard.
To be familiar with Sevenrooms system.
To action and respond messages received via E-Butler.
Other Duties To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs.
To provide friendly, courteous, and professional service always.
To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name badge.
To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department grooming standards.
To maintain good working relationships with your colleagues and all other departments.
To ensure you read the hotel's Colleague Handbook, understand, and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of industry, company, or hotel.
To attend training and meetings as and when required.
About you.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications.
Qualifications.
Essential Excellent level of English Competent computer skills, word, excel, power point.
Excellent communicator at all levels Effective organizational skills.
able to prioritize tasks and self-manage a demanding workload.
Excellent presentation skills Friendly, approachable, and professional Experience.
