DATA SCIENTIST

What's in it for you Work in a big data team with other data scientists and data engineers to develop Machine Learning models, perform data analysis, and deliver actionable solutions and insights to Vodafone and its stakeholders.
Designs Machine Learning systems and solutions by researching and implementing the appropriate tools, such as Google’s BigQuery and Vertex AI are a preferred.
The data scientist should be able to develop supervised and unsupervised machine learning models, with particular focus in NLP (natural language processing) and other means of classification, and clustering.
The available datasets are diversified, and the models should take into consideration inputs from analytics and relevant stakeholders.
Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging Cognitive solutions.
Develop solutions together in an agile team of data engineers, software developers and system specialists, working in a SAFE Agile framework.
The position is opened for the AI and Data Analytics from the Digital Network Solutions & Insights in VODAFONE Group, reporting to the AI and Data Analytics manager.
What you’ll do Design models using Machine Learning and deep learning data, enhancements, and algorithms, and select appropriate KPIs to identify high-performance models.
Builds Machine learning algorithms in Google’s Vertex AI.
Deliver NOC automation as part of Agile teams in Agile methodology.
Ability to share best practices and code standards to the team.
Keep up to date in terms of current (and future) technologic trends.
Participate in various types of interviews, meetings or workshops to understand the network operation operating model,  requirements and to develop automation solutions.
Participate in development process, including constructing and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable configurations within analytics pipelines software and tools.
Participate in testing activities, including integration testing, end-to-end (business process) testing and user acceptance testing.
Participate in the problem identification/error resolution process, including tracking, repairing, and reporting defects.
Create test scripts and supports Quality Assurance activities as needed.
Design business ideas and use cases and estimate business metrics of the expected effect.
Who you are Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, MIS or a related Analytical field.
2+ years of work experience as Machine Learning Engineer in an Agile environment; Experience in using cloud services, such as Google’s BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform; Good statistics and mathematical background is necessary to interpret algorithms output results.
Working knowledge with the following programming languages.
Python or Scala.
Experience in querying using SQL-like language (for both SQL and NoSQL databases) Machine learning Libraries.
Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, random forests, logistic regression, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks Demonstrate wide range of technical experience and competencies working with statistics and machine learning, coding languages, databases, machine learning, and reporting technologies Analytical thinker, familiar with complex technologies, programming languages ​​and data and is used to moving confidently to different applications, platforms and systems Analytical thinker, familiar with complex technologies, programming languages ​​ Good communication skills, with proven ability to work cross-functional teams to translate business issues into potential analytics solutions Fluent in English.
