They have performed a lift and shift migration of SQL Server 2008 into Azure SQL Database (MI) and have designed a new architecture based on cloud services.Our project will help them validate and implement the new architecture based on cloud services. What you will doDevelop and maintain the data architecture and roadmap aligned with the organization’s business goals and objectives.Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and technical teams to understand and analyze data requirements and translate them into data architecture solutions.Design and create conceptual, logical, and physical data models for various data domainsEvaluate and recommend appropriate data storage, integration, and processing technologies, including data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based solutions.Collaborate with data engineering and development teams to implement data integration, and ETL/ELT processes.Define and implement data security and access controls to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.Provide guidance and best practices to development teams for database design, optimization, and performance tuning.Stay up to date with emerging data technologies and trends and evaluate their potential impact on the organization’s data architecture.Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure scalability, availability, and performance of data platforms and environments.Document data architecture artifacts, including data models, data flow diagrams, and system integrations.What you need for thisWe are looking for a Data Architect / Principal Data Engineer to work on building a Databricks-based streaming data platform in Azure from scratch. This also includes building streaming data pipelines using Azure, python, Spark, Databricks and Snowflake. Must haveAt least 5 years of overall data engineering experience.At least 1 years of experience with Azure (e.g. Functions, Event Hub).At least 2 years of experience with Databricks and Delta Lake.At least 2 years of experience with stream processing (e.g. Spark Streaming).Solid experience with python and SQL.Experience building DWH & data lakes.Nice to haveExperience in Snowflake.What it’s like to work at IntelliasAt Intellias, we are committed to being an equal opportunity employer, fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion.
