Scope of work included, but was not limited to:

•	Provided clear and focused leadership for the projects. Acted as primary technical co-ordination interface with client to ensure that the client's expectations and contract regulations were satisfied. Monitored planning, scheduling and resources to meet project deadlines, including corrective actions where required. Works were carried out within the agreed boundaries of safety, budget, quality, schedule, and environment impact.

•	Ensured a clear definition of scope. Monitored relevant project budgets, providing financial returns and reports to the project executive board. Achieved the implementation of an effective change control system. Ensured all necessary permits and licenses were available. Effectively managed project interfaces. Maintained HSE focus to comply with OHSA requirements included in design and procurement. Managed the design, procurement and construction activities to meet the project schedule. Achieved the establishment of effective communications within the project team.

•	Managed key reports and the development of corrective action plans. Supported Plant operations aiming to reduce costs and optimize the quality of the purchased materials, products and services.     Assessed the procurement process throughout the projects to ensure goods met specifications, were delivered on time and prices were within budget.

•	Monitored project performance on an ongoing basis to identify issues and opportunities early and take pre-emptive action. Ensured design team was complying with client's Basis of Design and applicable regulations and codes. Monitored design activities, inter-discipline data flow and communications. 

•	Monitored, controlled all cost aspects of the project to forecast costs, obtain approvals, identify trends and take action to avoid cost overruns. Fulfilled accurate, timely progress reporting. Established SPI, CPI and KPI monitoring systems. Identified, monitored closure of all project risks and opportunities. Maintained risk avoidance and risk mitigation focus throughout the project duration. Monitored the Construction Management function to ensure safe delivery of the project within cost and schedule objectives. Achieved timely and effective documentation turnover and project close-out.

•	Accountable for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of the projects. Verified work compliance to standards and contract requirements. Managed O&G process plant design and construction. Coordinated and prepared monthly cost and schedule presentations. Tracked project performance to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals. Participated in the feasibility and constructability analysis. 

•	Reviewed and endorsed progress. Ensured projects met deadlines. Controlled and mitigated risks. Assisted in the definition of projects scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Planned O&G production plant shut-downs. Managed the relationship with the client and all stakeholders. Supervised all incoming and outgoing project documentation.

•	Delegated project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels. Managed changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs. Achieved a successful administration of site manpower, tools, materials, and equipment. Developed a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.

•	Leaded the construction work planning and the preparation of progress reports. Supported the project manager with progress reporting, including schedule updates, forecasts to complete, variances identification and opportunities for improvement. Managed subcontracts during the upstream construction phase. Created and maintained comprehensive project documentation. Ensured the project was delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

•	Verified compliance to local and international standards and codes; verified fieldwork compliance to project specifications and contract requirements. Managed plant shutdowns and maintenance planning. Implemented project controls system, including baseline schedule development and management, performance status and reporting, baseline change control, risk management, earned value management guidance and tools. Supported programme integration, governance, formats, plan optimization, and project controls best practices.

•	Developed comprehensive project plans to share with clients and subcontractors. Conducted project review meeting and created detailed reports for upper management. Developed a preventive maintenance program, processed purchase requisitions in SAP. Improved maintenance spares stock management. 

•	Implemented policies and procedures to guide the construction effort, allowing safe and timely completion of the project as per approved budget, without negative impact on the ambient and with the best quality. Negotiated terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses. 

•	Verified and submitted valuations, progress certifications and progress reports to the Project Owner; Advised on the selection of subcontractors, prepared tender evaluation reports, leaded the tender negotiation process. Analyzed, managed and mitigated risks. Ensured procurement of materials was in line with project budget, time, quality constraints and cash flow conditions. Ensured quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques. Achieved an efficient workflow and a successful administration of labor, materials and equipment.

•	Prepared procurement plans, materials status reports. Verified invoices from suppliers and contractors in accordance with contract provisions and approved payments. Finalized purchase details of orders and deliveries. Verified compliance to tender procedures. Reviewed, negotiated standard and non-standard procurement contracts, framework contracts, manpower contracts, professional services agreements and purchase orders. Monitored all procurement related negotiations with suppliers to ensure that the most advantageous combination of cost, savings, quality and sustainability was achieved.
 
•	Identified potential suppliers, requested and reviewed bids, selected vendors. Ensured the procurement of goods and services were in line with projects budgets, time and quality standards. Discussed with Plant Management the Procurement strategy and the alignment to plans and objectives. Developed strategic alliances with local and foreign suppliers. Resolved customs clearance problems and produced international purchase orders status reports for Plant Management. Tracked and reported key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. Reduced Long-Lead Items delivery at site by coordinating and following up international freight arrangements, customs clearance and in-land transportation.

The Mechanical Engineering major in WSU involved designing, analyzing and testing mechanical systems like engines, robots, and airframes and controlling the heat, fluids and energy used in or created by these systems. The program included development of computer simulations or building and testing actual prototypes of systems, and the create, design, building and improvement of: jet engines, rudder controls, air conditioners, heat pumps, aircraft wings, rocket engines, manufacturing machines, antilock brake systems, air bags, power plants, landing gears, bulldozers, and welding machines.
