Funciones y competencias If you are willing to join one of the most important tourism-related companies and are passionate about dealing with customers and helping them with their reservations all over the world, this is your opportunity. We are currently looking for travel counselors with Sabre to join our team in Barcelona. The successful candidates will be in charge of group air movements ranging from 10 to people. This will involve research and negotiation with airlines for group allocation of seats, agreeing to airline contracts as well as managing the seats and keeping to the airlines deadlines. Additionally, smaller groups will require experience of published and consolidator fares bookable via the GDS (preferably Sabre). The ideal candidate will have experience in group air travel, be customer focused with good attention to detail and communication skills. Good written and telephone communication skills with knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel for database base work is essential. Utilising registration web site tools, capturing delegates- information and sending flight offers/confirmations directly and managing delegate changes and updates is also an advantage. Issuing group and published tickets on the GDS and arranging the preparation work and checking procedures. Areas of Responsibility: - Send out Group invitations - Work as part of a virtualized Global team based in the UK, US & Australia on a follow the Sun Model - Mostly serviced through Email but some telephone support required - Create and issue group tickets for major McKinsey events e.g. Partner Conferences, Business Forums, Client Events, Firm Retreats which can range up to attendees - Maintain adherence to Firm travel policy, e.g., by offering appropriate advice and guidance on fares and routings - Provide advice or consultation to support McKinsey travelers with complex requests - Deliver Customer Service excellence travelers expectations will be VIP support - Meet Group desk SLA- s - Flexibility as there needs to be a willingness to work weekends during big global events - Travel may be required to attend major events in person Skills /Qualifications You will work in accesible facilities in Barcelona and will be a part of a young and dynamic team. - Knowledge of the airline industry - Previous group or business travel experience preferred - GDS (Sabre preferable) knowledge - Group and or published airline ticketing experience preferred - MS Office user - English proficiency is a must
