The Position.
The HPE, I&D Director of Workplace Inclusion will be responsible for effectively executing the Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) strategy globally and Business Unit specific strategies in defining and implementing effective best practices that embed inclusion and diversity into the organization’s culture.
The Director will be a strategic partner to senior business and HR leadership while serving as a change agent in designing, developing and deploying cutting-edge workplace strategies.
Reporting to the HPE, VP and Chief Diversity Officer, this executive leader will supervise the ERG Program Manager.
Location.
San Jose, CA preferred; or New York City; Houston, TX, Plano, TX, or other HPE key location.
Specific Responsibilities Include.
Input to and delivery of the entire company’s I&D global vision, strategic direction and organizational effectiveness.
Advising and guiding strategic planning around L&D global inclusion learning roadmap.
Create an inclusion measurement for the organization and teams that informs action planning.
Act as a change agent to drive inclusion programs from the I&D Center of Excellence to the company in partnership across other HR COEs, business leadership and HR leadership.
Focus on programs that will further a more inclusive workplace that provides equitable access to advancement and opportunity across the spectrum of diversity.
Evolve Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to business focused groups that positively impact and empower the business through effective leadership, training, engagement, programming and management.
Governance around global diversity related issues and best practices.
Provide thought leadership by developing innovative programs that deliver the business strategy and demonstrate the impact of I&D to bottom line results.
Provide insight to the business around I&D trends, areas of opportunity, future-focused thinking and competitive programs and practices.
Conduct research and analysis to provide insight on developing inclusive workplace management trends.
Benchmark industry best practices to evaluate business unit and enterprise-wide progress to create a more inclusive workplace.
Build successful relationships among various Centers of Excellence (Talent Management, Learning & Development, Benefits, Communications, Performance, Employee Engagement and Workforce Analytics) to formulate integrated messaging and the integration of I&D into the development of employees.
Identify external organizations to develop strategic partnerships that advance our inclusion & diversity goals to advance our I&D brand to community, customers and educational entities.
Basic Qualifications.
12+ years of experience including Human Resources experience and 5+ years of Global Inclusion I& Diversity program  leadership experience Deep knowledge and understanding of compliance, inclusion and diversity principles Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership skills (Demonstrated ability of Proven Results; Strong Leadership and results of energizing and motivating a team) Strategic Thinking – Ability to lead the organization to the next level of I&D Demonstrated experience leading cultural change and influence of key stakeholders.
Effective communications – both verbal and written Program management experience leading a large-scale change management initiative Strong presentation and public speaking experience Experience representing organization to customers partners, and/or industry Strong analytical skills Desired Skills.
Inclusive leadership through strong engagement skills Expertise in creating corporate culture based on inclusion Action oriented with effective decision making skills Strong business and social acumen and political savviness Strong collaboration skills across HR and business functions Diplomatic and articulate communication style in dealing with senior executives Passion for personal accountability, achievement, learning and continual improvement Proclivity toward teaming, collaboration and customer service Ability to build consensus and relationships at all levels of management Exposure to Business Strategy, Human Capital Strategy and Global I&D Strategy Reliability and sound judgment Effectively demonstrate these HPE Elements of Leadership.
