GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe Offshore Installation Engineer will be a member of the Transport and Installation Team, within the Engineering Department in the Corporate Technical Area. He or she will be responsible of performing all Transport & Installation activities (Logistics in general) for all packages, as part of offshore wind farm development, tender and weather modelling analysis, in collaboration with other technical, commercial, legal and business areas.MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIESResponsible for the technical analysis of logistics method for installation in accordance with applicable standards, legislation, ethics, and good practices across the offshore wind farms industry, tender requirements, regulatory aspects, and project policies.This will include working on specifications and technical documentation to allow Project's engagement with the correspondent marine contractors and to evaluate the different packages installation methods.Provides technical support to the business units finding the best suitable logistic strategy for each project.Foster collaboration and teamwork with the OW business units and other departments, facilitating the efficiency in works related to the Project and alignment with OW practices.RESPONSABILITIES AND DUTIESAsses T&I strategy for the different work packages: WTGs, FOUs, Cables and OSP for the financial valuation of the projects.weather modelling analysis for all packages using a specific software.and maintain in-house tools to facilitate and increase the performance of all related tasks for transport & installation of Offshore Wind Farms.Accountable of developing required documentation for T&I RFP as: Employer’s Design Requirements Technical Specifications, Project Procedures, Scope of Works, Bill of Quantities, Responsibility Matrix, Consents requirements, Physical Interface Registers (PIR), etc… For the T&I packages within OWFs in collaboration with other Technical Areas as required.Technical support for Transport & Installation RFP process coordination within the Technical Area, leading the T&I RFP process in collaboration with Procurement.Technical support during RFP process: Answer Q&A, participate in clarification meetings with Bidders, perform technical evaluations, provide technical recommendations for shortlist and preferred bidder, potential optimizations identification, lead Technical discussions for Transport & Installation packages, support other departments in discussions with Bidders, etc…Support Commercial and Legal Teams on the revision and definition of T&I contractual forms (HoTs) to deal with contractors.Technical support to deliver the Balance of Plant (BoP) for the T&I packages. This englobes T&I Method of Statements, Definition of Logistic Approach, Weather Down Time Assessment, Vessels evaluation etc. When previous activities are to be performed fully or partially by external consultants, Coordinate and Supervise them ensuring final deliverables reaches the expected level of quality and fit for purpose.Accountable of the transport & installation strategy definition for the different packages for the different projects and tenders, in collaboration with other Technical Areas as required.Ensure required HSSE measures are implemented in all T&I activities at the early development phase of the Projects through direct communication with HSE Department.Assure quality of work performed through peer reviews and monitoring throughout the project cycle and provide recommendations to the Project Teams where required.Provide Technical support for T&I packages to those Projects on geographies where could be required to help consolidating the Project.Accountable of providing relevant Transport & Installation inputs to other areas (Assumption Book, Red Flag Analysis, Capex/Devex, Risk Registers, etc…), ensuring Transport & Installation interfaces with other packages and stakeholders are appropriately managed.Ensure Lessons Learnt are captured and transferred across all Projects and geographies. Implement them at a corporate level for future projects.Retain knowledge for T&I and ensure is transferred within the Technical Corporate Team.Be up to date on new techniques, technologies and solutions developed by the supply chain for T&I works. Keep close relationship/interface communications with main players on the industry (fabricators, marine contractors, vessel suppliers, ports administrations, etc…) to share knowledge and topics related to marine and installation engineering.Maintain an up-to-date Installation vessel database and keep close relationship with vessel owners to ensure vessel capabilities to install the required structureACADEMIC BACKGROUNDInternationally recognised Engineering or Science Degree in an Offshore Wind relevant discipline.LANGUAGESFluent in English.
