TAX & TREASURY SPECIALIST

Role Responsibility •Ensure the completion and filling of all tax (WHT/WHVAT, PAYE, VAT/Levies, and CST).
•Develop and communicate tax policies, procedures and processes, internal control procedures and ensure compliance therewith.
•Prepare tax-related analyses and reports to management on a regular basis.
•Ensure legislative or precedent changes are acted upon within the function, reviewing arrangements with relevant authorities as appropriate.
•Monitor and analyse any tax case, regulation and laws and convey to management information regarding such developments and their impact on the business.
•Provide support timely advice to business units on all tax matters •Identify and evaluate complex tax issues and communicate recommendations and risks to key stakeholders •Lead the tax team via mentorship and continuous development, fostering a culture of constant improvement and progress.
•Assist Head of Tax and Treasury where required to manage and run the treasury team.
Professional / Technical Capabilities •A minimum of 5 years' experience in a related function.
•Tax planning and tax examination skills •Very good working knowledge of Ghana Tax laws.
•Strong working knowledge of Accounting.
•Effective communications skills, both oral and written •Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationship with colleagues and external stakeholders at all levels •Appreciable working knowledge of the Financial Service Industry and Regulations, •Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or any numerate discipline.
