We are looking for a talented and technical enthusiast to join the Platform Enablers technology organisation which manages all infrastructure (compute both physical as well as virtual, storage and backup, DBs) in our own multiple mission critical non-cloud data centres and in the cloud through well-established partially automated platform processes.
00a0 Focus of this role will be monitoring of our IT Infrastructure 24/7 including running the monitoring platform to always know the health status of TUIus IT.
00a0 Additionally to that and to be more specific we are looking for a personu00a0 uu00a0u00a0 u00a0which can operate multiple monitoring scenarios and system solutions for the operation of the IT infrastructure – on-premise as well as in the public cloud.
00a0 uu00a0u00a0 u00a0which has experience with monitoring solutions (we use mainly CheckMK for monitoring and IBM Netcool Suite for processing and alerting).
00a0 uu00a0u00a0 u00a0which has good experience with the Linux/Unix operating system platformsu00a0 u00a0 The System Engineer is a practitioner of state-of-the-art system engineering practices.

uu00a0u00a0 u00a0You will take proactive corrective action where required, for example quality improvement of the running platform by improving automation to enhance platform flexibility and general availability.
uu00a0u00a0 u00a0You have a proven track record in delivering infrastructure services to DevOps teams, enabling them to focus on delivering their platform.
uu00a0u00a0 u00a0You are able to verbalise your thoughts and ideas and take the initiative to translate ideas into outcomes.
Together with the different teams in the IT Domains, relevant Practice teams as well as other Enabler teams you will research, evaluate and test new approaches, processes and tools and help teams to use them effectively.
