You will be working as system engineer with different stakeholders across diverse teams integrating our solutions with 3rd parties to build the best-class sport platform. The system engineer delivers services, operations, and software innovations in the diversified end-to-end ecosystems to assure that Nagravision worldwide sports solution is innovative, reliable, performance and driven operational excellence. You will be reporting toManager – Sports Operations Manager I guess you are wondering… what will I actually be doing?Execute activities required to deliver the products, services and value expected for Nagravision sports solution, during all the phases of the project (pre-sales, delivery, maintenance) with the established Information Security Management System policies and practices.Deploy/Upgrade, configure, integrate our products and services with 3rd parties’ solutions as encoders/transcoders, ad servers, AI, gaming platforms, so to enable the features and the innovation to sports solution.Proactively monitor and improving the reliability and performance of Nagravision sports solutions (backend and applications) deployed on Public Clouds and part of Digital TV ecosystem.Work with product engineering teams to define, deliver and fine-tune roadmap features.Experience with automation of deployments, upgrades or tests and tools like Jenkins or Postman.Define metrics, collect data, and improve service monitoring to detect problems before they’re visible to customers.Optimize and tune systems to ensure reliably and highly availability in a 24/7 production environment.Predict future systems failures and work proactively to mitigate them.Troubleshoot and solve production issues from the network and application layers all the way down to the infra level. Collaborate closely with other system engineers, program managers, solution experts and R&D to work together efficiently and foster an environment of continuous improvement and DevOps.Provide Maintenance, Support and 24/7 incident management in alignment with our contractual obligations and SLAs. What is the background we would love to find?3+ years’ experience as System Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer or similar.Experience with UNIX/LINUX systems in a production environment including configuration, networking and basic scripting (Python, Bash, Ruby, or any other). Familiar with logging and monitoring tools such as ELK, Prometheus or Grafana.Experience with various database technologies including NoSQL databases (Cassandra, Mongo…) and SQL (like Oracle)Knowledge of Android/IOS/Web apps troubleshooting and streaming technologies.Knowledge of video broadcasting streaming analysis (ffmpeg)Knowledge of AWS Public Cloud and containers technologies (Docker, Kubernetes or similar) will be valuableGood working knowledge of continuous integration/delivery processes (devOps). Experience with infrastructure configuration and automation tools like Puppet, Terraform or Ansible.Do you have the skills?Creative problem-solver, exhibiting common sense, analytical reasoning skills and taking ownership of issues to the point of resolution.
