The Sous Chef will be a part of a diverse and dynamic team which provides award-winning service to our valued guests.
This position reports to the Executive Chef.
A Maldivian work permit will be provided by the resort.
What you will do.
Build a motivated and skilled team, leads by example and instills a culture of continuous learning and improvement among employees; actively participates in Employee Relations activities and programmes Actively plan and manage the career development of every employee through effective coaching, training and by instilling company values; is concerned for employees' continuous development and personal growth Organize and manage the department in accordance with company philosophy and policies, maximizing efficiency and productivity and achieving established goals; promotes harmony between departments Display warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers; lives the Golden Rule Demonstrate standards awareness, by setting example for standards execution, standards testing and implementing action plans to achieve established product and service goals Prepare annual plans and forecasts, consistently monitors and manages budgetary goals Ensure consistent quality and presentation of menus under his supervision.
Constantly inspects taste, temperature, portion size and visual appearance.
Develop new dishes and restaurant menus; documents recipes and presentation standards Ensure strict maintenance of food and personal hygiene standards in the department Ensure profitability of the department; adheres to food cost targets; assist with costing and pricing of menus Consistently monitors quality of ingredients; assist in purchasing and receiving of food stuff; ensures optimum storage and rotation of raw materials Interact with guests in a personal manner and creates special dining experiences Maintain an organized administration of departmenta.......

Colaborar en la creación de nuevos platos y menús, aportando ideas y sugerencias al chef... resolver cualquier problema o incidencia que surja durante el servicio, asegurando la satisfacción del cliente en todo momento... buscamos a alguien con experiencia previa en un puesto similar, con habilidades......
La persona seleccionada realizará las siguientes funciones: - colaborar en la planificación del menú junto con el chef de cocina... asegurar que se cumplan los estándares de calidad establecidos por el restaurante... supervisar el funcionamiento y rendimiento de las partidas asignadas......
