Descripción de puesto.
SiRTAP is a High Performance Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (UAV) to be fully designed, developed and certified by Airbus Defence and Space Spain, to cover the missions currently performed by other UAS.
In this frame, a new position for a GSE (Ground Support Equipment) Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defense & Space in Getafe (Madrid area).
GSE is a department with a high growth potential that several young colleagues have joined in the last two years.
The position will be mainly focused on SiRTAP programme, but will also tackle with the rest of the combat programs under the department responsibility.
Eurofighter, Eurodrone and FCAS (Future Combat Air System) GSE is an engineering department in charge of the identification, design, development and validation on aircraft of all ground support equipment needed for the operation and maintenance of the aircrafts in the customer operations.
Additionally, it also provides technical support to the Customer in the daily use of the GSEs at the Air Bases.
GSE is a key activity for the company as our equipment are used every day in every aircraft and in all Customers around the world.
The position is part of the Services Organization particular in Ground Support Equipment The main task and responsibilities for the position are.
Preparation of GSE Technical Specifications Technical support to supplier selection Design follow-up Prototype Manufacturing follow-up Validation of the equipment on the aircraft Qualification and Compatibility Tests Other tasks to be performed.
Preparation of GSE recommendations for the Customers.
Evaluations (Site Surveys) of the Customer existing capabilities concerning GSE Provide technical assistance to the Customers Support on installation and commissioning of GSEs at customer MOB Analysis of A/C modification and the impact on developed GSEs Engineering profile Useful skills.
