ABOUT THE JOB u00a0 Ensure 24/7 system availability.
00a0 Provide cross-departmental assurance of the required service quality.
00a0 Provide services according to the service definition or the design and quality agreed with the customer.
00a0 Plan, deploy and test new releases within the given system architecture and customise the systems in coordination with customers or application developers.
00a0 Support system-specific tasks in the context of application migrations.
00a0 Analyse existing systems in terms of performance, utilisation and degree of utilisation as well as advise customers or application developers on cost optimisation, tuning potentials and performance effects.
00a0 Develop and implement backup and restart concepts.
00a0 Develop and implement appropriate procedures and standards, and monitor compliance with privacy and data security requirements.
00a0 Assign and manage system access rights.
00a0 Automate operations.
00a0 Ensure up-to-date documentation of the assigned systems and system components.
00a0 Administrate Network Installation Management (NIM) tool.
00a0 Administrate Hardware Management Console (HMC) for IBM Power-Server.
00a0 Manage firmware patches.
00a0 Plan, deploy and test system migrations within the given system architecture in coordination with customers.
00a0 Develop and implement system monitoring and Unix system-programming.
00a0 Support of internal and external audits.
00a0 Communicate with external service providers.
00a0 u00a0 u00a0 u00a0 ABOUT YOU u00a0 Degree in computer science or comparable subject, or comparable on-the-job knowledge and experience.
00a0 Practical experience in u00a0IT service management (ITIL).
00a0 Pronounced ability to work in international teams.
00a0 Quick on the uptake u00a0combined with the ability to understand complex contexts and process insights gained.
00a0 Experience and knowledge in the problem determination method in the environment of the mentioned products.
00a0 Very good spoken and written German and English language skills (preferably German native).
00a0 Willingness to be on call (7×24) and to travel.
00a0 High level of initiative and a strong sense of responsibility.
