You will join a dynamic team of 4, embarking on a journey to transition our system from a legacy stack to a modern, efficient architecture. Your expertise will guide the refactoring or redevelopment process, ensuring a smooth transition to a new stack with a focus on Hexagonal architecture and Domain-Driven Design.Key Responsibilities:Lead the transition from a legacy system (PHP 7.4 & Silex 2.2.4) to a modern stack (PHP 8.2 & Symfony 6.3), incorporating event-driven design and Kafka for event handling and listeners.Architect and implement robust, scalable solutions using Hexagonal architecture principles and Domain-Driven Design, avoiding traditional TDD limitations.Collaborate with the team to introduce a layer that facilitates new developments while maintaining compatibility with the legacy system.Play a pivotal role in the team as a technical mentor, particularly in adopting Hexagonal architecture and advanced PHP/Symfony good practices.Work closely with a dedicated QA to ensure high-quality standards through functional and automated testing.Manage APIs extensively, both for consumption and publication, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.Drive the project's technical direction, transitioning the focus from 40% legacy and 60% new stack to 20/80 within 4-6 months.What experience and skills do I need?Over 4 years in experience with Symfony, a strong background in software architecture principles is plus.Proven track record of working with legacy systems and migrating to modern PHP frameworks.Familiarity with Hexagonal architecture, Domain-Driven Design, and event-driven systems using Kafka.Experience in building and consuming APIs, with an emphasis on scalability and security.Strong understanding of quality assurance policies, including functional and automated testing.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead and mentor within a team environment.Fluent in Spanish, with excellent communication skills.What we offer: Hybrid remote workWorking hour flexibility (Mon-Tues 08:00-10:00 / 17:00-19:00, Frid 08:00-10:00 / 15:00-17:00).Intensive working day on Fridays, July and August.Catering service at the office.Health insurance 100% covered for you with family discountTechnical training with specialized platformsEnglish classes with native teachers.Birthday off.Snacks and fruit at the officeReferral bonus.We’re looking forward to meeting you!
