SENIOR FRONTEND ENGINEER - REACT (F/M/D)

We pride ourselves in building a product which is easy and fun to use.Most of our team is located in Munich or elsewhere in Germany, but we have a handful of software engineers working from Spain.THE STACKOur frontend is a single-page application, built with a mix of ES6 and TypeScript, as well as React. Further technologies we use are react-query, styled components, jest and react-testing-library.On the backend we use Ruby on Rails, Postgres and Redis. Our infrastructure is hosted on AWS, and we have a solid CI/CD setup which allows us to spin up QA environments and deploy to production with a simple click of a button.THE JOBHere is where you come in: We are looking for a Frontend Engineer - React (f/m/d) who enjoys creating business applications with great UX. You will work with a small but highly experienced, diverse and fun team of engineers, designers and product specialists. Some of the challenges you will face:Ship exciting features, enriched with animations and great UX.Eliminate tech debt and reduce inconsistencies. (Yes, you will get dedicated refactoring time!)Work with your colleagues to improve processes, architecture, and all other aspects of your work.You will also:Have a say in which product features are developed.Own projects across the whole development lifecycle.Shape architectural, technical and organizational decisions.WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF …You have demonstrated ownership and autonomy at work.You have deep knowledge in developing complex, scalable and cross-browser user interfaces and component libraries using React.Your foundations are solid. You have in-depth CSS experience and know how the browser works under the hood.You promote and apply software craftsmanship, clean code and robust tests.You have contributed to architectural decisions. You know how to break down a larger problem into smaller steps.An intuitive understanding of good design, typography and UX.Your desire to teach and learn is bigger than your ego.Excellent communication skills and fluent English.
