Job Summary : The Sales Engineer is to maximize customer and order acquisition in line with company strategy.
Overall responsibility for sales and customer development in an assigned sales territory, by providing customer value through technical and commercial expertise and partnering.
This role will cover Equipment Sales in Wales.
Responsibilities.
To assess customer requirements and advise on the most appropriate solution to meet their needs based on comprehensive site surveys and liaison with the customer.
Personal accountability for sales budget within the region / customer base.
Achieve the goals and targets as agreed.
Both financial and personal.
You will be responsible for business development of your territory, cultivating new and existing ICS customers.
Be a team player collaborating with your counterparts in the Rental and Service operations, uncovering suitable opportunities.
Continuous pipeline management through our CRM.
From initial opportunity, quotation through to order.
Prepare quotations for customers.
Prepare monthly sales forecasts.
Work effectively and collaboratively alongside both regional and national colleagues to support the growth of ICS Cool Energy within the marketplace.
Work closely with the Company’s administration and accounts to ensure a seamless service for our clients and customers.
Conduct monthly reviews via a 1 to 1 with the regional sales manager to ensure all aspects of the role are covered.
Work with the Sales Manager and Marketing to develop a business plan for the appointed region.
The role may require overnight stays.
Attend sales & technical meetings were required.
Attend external training courses as required.
Key Competencies.
Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration, or applied experience in this field or skill set an advantage Full drivers’ licence and UK Right to Work at application stage Demonstrated technical sales experience of capital equipment, ideally within an industrial / processing background.
Flexibility to cope with fast paced enquiries and with more complex applications requiring a more consultative approach.
Sound technical knowledge of products and solutions with the ability to identify the needs and provide the best solution for the customer.
Effective sales and negotiation skills.
Be commercially aware and able to demonstrate energy savings and conduct payback analysis where appropriate.
Effective territory and pipeline management.
