SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE OFFICER - SPAIN

We are commiDed to becoming the global leader in engineered stone bathroom products, offering a premium, environmentally friendly alternative to traditional bathroom materialssuch as ceramic & acrylic.Position Summary:The Safety and Compliance Officer will be instrumental in ensuring all Spanish facilities of Engineered Stone Group adhere to national fire regulations, health and safety laws, and maintain world-class standards in housekeeping and 5S methodology. This role involves extensive travel across various locations in Spain to conduct audits, deliver targeted training, and collaborate with local teams to enhance fire safety, overall safety readiness, and environmental sustainability in line with ISO standards and ESG initiatives.Key Responsibilities:• Conduct regular audits of fire safety, health and safety compliance, and environmental sustainability practices across all Spanish facilities.• Lead the efforts towards obtaining and maintaining ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) certifications.• Evaluate the effectiveness of current safety and environmental policies and procedures in relation to Spanish regulations, ISO standards, and ESG goals.• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of 5S methodology within the workplace to ensure exceptional housekeeping and operational efficiency.• Identify areas for improvement in safety, environmental sustainability, and ESG reporting, and develop action plans in collaboration with local management teams.• Deliver comprehensive training sessions on fire safety, health and safety, environmental sustainability, and 5S practices to employees at all levels.• Ensure all facilities meet the required safety and environmental certifications and are prepared for external inspections and audits.• Serve as the main point of contact for all safety, environmental, and ESG inquiries within the Spanish operations.• Directly collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure all safety and environmental systems and equipment are in optimal condition and compliant with legal and organisational standards.• Regularly review and update emergency response and environmental sustainability plans, including evacuation procedures, ensuring all staff are trained and drills are conducted periodically.• Support the environmental side of the company's ESG initiatives, particularly in environmental impact assessment and sustainability reporting.Qualifications:• Fluent in Spanish and advance in English.• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.• Professional certification in health and safety, environmental management, such as NEBOSH, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or equivalent.• In-depth knowledge of Spanish fire regulations, health and safety laws, and environmental regulations.• Proven experience in implementing and maintaining 5S or similar quality management systems, with a strong focus on environmental sustainability.• Ability to travel extensively across Spain.• Strong analytical skills to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement in safety, environmental sustainability, and ESG reporting.• Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to engage effectively with teams at all levels.Experience:• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment, with a focus on environmental and safety management.• Demonstrated experience in conducting safety and environmental audits, delivering training, leading safety and environmental improvement initiatives, and contributing to ESG reporting.What We Offer:• A dynamic role with significant impact on the safety, environmental sustainability, and efficiency of our Spanish opertations.• The opportunity to work in a leading company in the engineered stone bathroom products industry.• Competitive salary and benefits package.• Supportive work environment commiDed to employee safety, environmental sustainability, and continuous improvement
