QUALITY SUPERVISOR

Por qué te necesitamos? What’s the job? Assists the Quality Manager in leading and directing the overall quality assurance program in an active “hands on” manner to ensure that the products produced at the Peachtree City plant are following CertainTeed’s internal specifications to consistently meet or exceed our customer expectations.
The position will also work closely with plant production personnel to resolve quality issues, conduct quality related projects and testing as directed.
Planning, establishing, and auditing raw material and in-process quality assurance procedures.
Analyze statistical data and product specifications to ensure compliance with product standards.
Formulates and maintains quality assurance objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers and department superintendents to maximize product quality reliability and minimization of costs.
Supervises the QA functions including the salaried laboratory technicians and hourly process inspectors.
Supervises and coach’s employees engaged in the inspection, auditing, sampling, and testing activities.
Conducts and establishes training activities for hourly and salaried employees, including Territory Sales Managers, as related to product quality and reliability.
Maintaining a neat, adequately stocked, safe, organized laboratory facility, keeping laboratory equipment in clean, working condition, reporting issues promptly for repair.
Provides lab tests and documents findings to assist in the resolution of customer complaints and assists the QA Manager and Field Service Representative in analyzing complaint data for recommended improvements and changes in production methods.
Assists the Field Service Representative & Territory Managers in the resolution of warranty complaints.
Ensures the inputs to the record database are entered accurately and in a timely manner.
Assures compliance with all federal and state rules and regulations related to product specifications and labeling.
Conduct behavior-based audits and 5S audits as well as support plants EHS goals.
Participate in Incident & Near Miss Investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions.
May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

AS degree or equivalent experience may be considered) 4+ Years of Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment Proficient in use of MS Office (familiarity with Kronos and SAP a plus) General understanding of ISO methodology (ISO ) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S & Six Sigma a plus   Come be a part of our bigger purpose to change the world!
