PROCESS ENGINEER, PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

Ethicon, a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for a  Process Engineer, Product Management, to be based in São José dos Campos, Brazil.
This role will support the execution of the strategy to drive the code-level product changes across overlapping projects across key strategic programs, such as Sapphire, Protect, Vantage, Gestalt, and D-Specials, while realizing efficiencies in consolidating design work and implementation of converging projects.   The Process Engineer – Product Management within the GTO Lifecycle Management organization is accountable for taking strategies related to portfolio code changes and translating them to the detailed code-level attributes for all change projects.   This includes defining the package type, box type, IFU/language variants and ensuring a standard process is followed to deliver a standard product portfolio for the future.
  This is a data-focused role that has the potential for future digital enhancements.  The Process Engineer will support the team in maintaining the metrics for code changes across the portfolio and the product attribute database that keeps track of the product changes.     Additionally, the Process Engineer may own the project management of design control activities for low complexity product changes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
·       With oversight and input, defines actions that need to be taken to achieve project objectives.  ·       Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
·       Accountable to track project and publish metrics.
·       Facilitates resolution of design control/project schedule problems.
·       Collaborates effectively with key business partners.
·       Coordinates the staff with internal (manufacturing, quality, engineering) and external partners to plan and execute project plans.
  ·       Promotes innovation initiatives for products design changes and ideas.
·       Edits and finalizes technical documentation to verify compliance to technical specifications and standards.
·       Utilizes and schedules the proper level of resources to facilitate attainment of project goals within established timelines and budgets.
·       Responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable ·       Performs other duties assigned as needed.
Qualifications Required.
·       Degree in Engineering or a science discipline ·       Minimum of 2-4 years of work experience ·       Strong analytical skills ·       Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Database Management  ·       Excellent communication and interpersonal relation skills.  ·       High quality awareness ·       Independent, accurate way of working Preferred.
·       Strong knowledge of the BOMs (Bill of Materials) components across the portfolio.
·       Advanced computer skills and use of software applications (MS Office, MS Project Management, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook etc.) ·       Experience in leading and managing projects and milestones.
·       Ability to prioritize multiple commitments, shift priorities according to changes in company/department needs and open to different ideas/approaches.
·       Ability to deploy strategy/initiatives based on required needs.  ·       Strong interpersonal and analytical skills to comprehend technical data/information ·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Other.
·       Domestic/international travel of up to 10%
