POWER ELECTRONICS (SYSTEM) ENGINEER

We are Applus+ Laboratories, an Applus+ Group division that provides testing, certification and product development engineering services.In our Electrical and Electronics department, we test different products throughout their lifecycle, in a wide range of industries that go from automotive to aerospace, railway and other industrial sectors.Our laboratories excel in Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), Electrical Safety, and Climatic and Vibration (NVH) testing, aiding clients in product development and international certifications for market access.Due to our current growth, we are looking for a Power Electronics (System) Engineer.Your typical work day will consist of: -Leading Test Bench building project:EVSE/EV simulator development - Electronic design - Simulator System development according IEC 61851 seriesSystem requirement definition, Interfacing with HW/SW developers and Validation and Verification loop definition and execution-Energy Storage System (ESS) technical requirements analysis for certification according to IEC 62933, IEC 62109, IEC 62619, …Unit parameters, test methods, planning, installation requirements, electrical safety and environmental issuesPower Conversion systems and subsystemsBatteries for industrial applications, including stationary applicationsFunctional Safety (IEC 61508)-Certification scheme development for the evaluation of conformity of power and electrical/electronic equipment (i.e. EVSE, ESS/BESS,..) for market access and safety assurance: supporting and leading activities depending on specific verticals-Technical supporting to clients and sales departments, addressing inquiries and defining high level budgetary quotations-Managing and maintaining up to 750 kW electric on-site infrastructure-Coordinating cross-functional engineering teams (Electrical Safety, Environmental, Mechanical, …)-Grid connections and evaluation of conformity according main European Grid CodesWhat we’re looking for: At least 3 years of demonstrable working experience in the field of power electronics engineeringi.e. EV charging stations, ESS/BESS product engineering and/or Testing & Validation activities, battery testing requirements, …Industrial, Electrical, Electronics or similar Engineering GradeFluent in EnglishNice to get demonstrable experience on Grid Codes analysis and evaluationWhat we’ll offer you:Full-time23 days of vacation and 3 days of free disposal.Flexible compensation plan (health insurance, transportation, daycare, restaurant tickets).Employee parkingGreen areas, yoga classes, and other wellness activities.Lunch area with a special reduced price.
