The objective of this role is to drive expansions and retain a designated portfolio of strategic customers within the local market.
This person will develop and execute a tailored and differentiated approach to expand T&E and B2B solutions on existing clients.
The scope of the role requires the incumbent to ensure customer objectives are met through full us of Amex products, services, and capabilities in line with clients' account plans, managing external stakeholder relationships, and working closely with the wider GCS organization and with other internal business partners particularly Risk, Pricing, Contract Management, Implementations, GMNS and Marketing.
How will you make an impact in this role? Own and extend account relationship.
Develop customer retention and expansion strategies to grow portfolio charge volume, and cross sell solutions building broad and deep relationships within the local market at all levels - both internally and externally.
Develop account plans incorporating metrics of success and regular formal reviews against agreed goals.
Consultative selling in order to capture T&E and B2B spend.
Focus on proactively driving customer engagement and satisfaction through best-in-class relationship management, and define local market client contact plans.
Identify client needs.
Maintain deep understanding of customer's industry, business and organizational goals to identify customer needs.
Understand and communicate in a compelling and innovative way Amex added value delivered by vs competition, including formal quantification of that unique value.
Protect and improve client profitability.
Be knowledgeable of Amex risk policies and procedures, as well as Amex systems to manage client payment behavior and monitor alignment with agreed terms.
Create consultative strategies to maximize client spend bounded to "Open to Buy" window set by Risk while improving key drivers and margin.
Day to day client support.
Provide timely on-the-ground support Manage internal stakeholders to ensure local service quality and contractual obligations are met / exceeded.
Resolve issues using formal project and/or action plans as required.
Responsibility for internal reporting.
Maintain and up-to-date picture of current client opportunities (pipeline) in CMR (ONE.
orce).
Ensure wins/losses are reported and tracked promptly.
Provide periodic client briefings/other details for internal purposes as required Minimum Qualifications University degree Account development, sales or partnership management experience with track record on driving business growth through F2F sales with excellence performance.
Calm and resilient under pressure.
Strategic and consultative selling skills with strong negotiation ability.
Ability to effectively influence, lead and manage change across multiple stakeholders.
Thorough understanding of Treasury and Working Capital management functions, Procurement processes, and Accounting systems and/or proven ability to to acquire knowledge and present solutions particularly in these areas.
Excellent financial, analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to develop creative solutions and prioritize effectively.
Excellent time management, project management and organizational skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to interact effectively across all levels of an organization both within Amex and externally.
Fluent in Spanish and English  Preferred Qualifications Post graduate education will be valued.
