Job DescriptionJoin our team and play a pivotal role in developing Marketing Science solutions across various domains including marketing effectiveness, brand management, and pricing research. As a key member of our team, you will support product development through concept testing phases, scaling, and production. Additionally, you will be responsible for transforming proofs-of-concept into scalable, production-ready code, contributing to the growth and success of our projects. If you're ready to make an impact and drive innovation in the world of marketing analytics, we encourage you to apply!Responsibilities:Develop, implement and standardize marketing science solutions in proofs-of-concept and prototypesContinuously improve the efficiency of the marketing science products (e.g. ensure quality by adherence to coding guidelines, documentation and reproducibility)Optimize marketing science models using code optimization, high-performance computing and real-time techniquesBuild analytical pipelines at scale using cloud services, containerized applications and distributed systemsIdentify best practices and create continuous improvement of tools and methodsClosely collaborate with Product Owners, Modellers, Marketing Scientists and Front End Software Engineers Qualifications:Bachelor or Master degree that reflects strong statistical/mathematical / computer science skillsTypically 2+ years of relevant work experienceSolid knowledge of analytic programming languages (R and Python are a must have) and the respective Machine Learning / Statistical Modeling ecosystemSolid knowledge of optimization and/or machine learning algorithms and/or deep learning algorithmsSolid knowledge of computer science fundamentals, software design principles and patterns, patterns and testing strategiesBasic skills with regard to working in (big) database environments (e.g. RDBMS, Spark, Hadoop)Solid skills with SQLSolid skills concerning performance optimization and scalability (e.g., parallelization, code optimization, functions as a service)Solid statistical skills and knowledge of econometric techniques,either in survey statistics (sampling, non-response adjustments, Bayesian statistics),or econometric modelling (program evaluation, forecasting, economic theory, panel data),or observational causal inference (potential outcomes, structural equation models, instrumental variables)or experimental designBasic understanding of Dockerization and Kubernetes/docker-composeSolid skills in REST-API/GraphQL with the ability to deploy servicesSoft Skills:Mathematical thinking, strong analytical and problem-solving skillsGood attention to detail – ensure all outputs are delivered professionally and accurateGood interpersonal skills – treat others with respect, be cooperative, friendly and considerate of others.
