LEAD - FUNCTIONAL ENGINEERING

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Lead - Functional Engineering  for the SAP Ariba eMarketplace platform, located in New Brunswick NJ, Raritan NJ, or Beerse Belgium.
This position is within the Technology Services Procurement product group in Johnson & Johnson Technology.

The technology we are responsible for delivering fuels J&J as we strive to change the trajectory of health for humanity! This role reports into the IT Manager for the procurement process area and join the existing delivery/build team for the eMarketplace platform, including eMarketplace Purchasing, eMarketplace Sourcing, eMarketplace Contracting, and additional enabling technologies that link the end-to-end eMarketplace processes together.
This platform is considered the most important platform across the enterprise according to the Digital Workplace Tools survey of J&J employees, and with over 30 billion dollars of goods and services procured through the system each year, it’s success is a vital component of the success of the entire enterprise.
As a lead you will be responsible for sophisticated eMarketPlace API/Webservice based integrations such as Open API, PO/GR/Form webservices & future SAP-Ariba integration strategies with over 100 transactional documents across 4 realms.
We are a customer and product centric team, where everything we do starts and ends with the customer.
Key Responsibilities.
Hands on building of solutions and also coordinating technical delivery to ensure results meet the needs of business and achieves outcomes established.
Provide technical design to agile stories and build solutions to critical and sophisticated requirements.
Work closely with over 25 member strong development team and assist team members when needed.
Provide development estimates and how levels of effort impact the priority of requirements.
Collaborates with Application support team, provides resolution to critical issues, assists them on the issues that are beyond their expertise.
Identify, research, and experiment with innovative technical solutions for various business challenges brought up by TPO (Technical Product Owner)/ PA (Product Analyst).
Solid grasp and demonstratable experience in global Agile Scrum/Squad delivery methodologies.
Experience and applicable knowledge of all aspects of the product development lifecycle as well as Agile methodology.
Proven experience in using development toolset such as Jira and Confluence.
Comfort in conveying sophisticated technical ideas to diverse audiences.
Member of collaborative environment for delivery team to discuss issues and engaging the right resources for solutioning.
Provide creative ideas to improve our overall operations, work with Objectives and Key Results to make the team and how we work an always evolving team! Qualifications Required.
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent 7+ years of related hands-on technology experience  Experience with API integration/Java Webservices Experience with business processes Experience working in large teams of at least 15 people Experience in building & supporting Ariba On-Demand (and/or Ariba Buyer) or similar procure-to-pay systems Must be aware and/or have working experience with.
SOAP/REST WEBSERVICES, JAVA, J2EE, JDBC, HTML, Java Script, XML, XSLT, Oracle or other Large scale RDMS, SQL and Unix/Linux shell scripting.
Demonstrable experience in Ariba Guided Buying including custom form development, SAP-Ariba Open API integration, various Ariba suites/modules (such as Ariba Invoicing, SAP-Ariba Webservices, master data loading, report building and configurations, Ariba integration with various Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems SAP/Oracle/JD Edwards).
Able to lead & assist development team, collaborate and communicate within the across various project team.
Understand business process design, analyze user requirements, create high-level design, build system integration, test and deploy.
Present and explain technical solutions to the clients.
Proven sense of responsibility, dedication to quality and achieving milestones   Preferred.
Knowledge or experience in integration methodologies such as Ariba CIG (Cloud Integration Gateway), SAP BTP.
Experience with standard methodologies for product development, agile & CI/CD frameworks are all highly preferred.
