INTERNATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS AND COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

We are looking for an International Labour Relations and Compliance Specialist, as part of the HR department who can provide expertise across the business on a range of employee matters to ensure compliance with legislation across our global business. This role will work also closely with the legal department of the company.You will join a dynamic and highly motivated team of energy professionals who have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in executing floating and fixed-bottom offshore wind projects.You will have an opportunity to shape a new function at BlueFloat Energy, develop its global team and support the company’s accelerated growth. With a corporate vision of accelerating the global deployment of offshore wind as a key enabler for the energy transition and economic growth, BlueFloat Energy is developing offshore wind energy projects in multiple geographies.MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES Lead work to establish an enterprise approach to global labor relations and ensure the delivery of efficient and expert advice to colleagues and business leaders on employee matters at the global level.Understand and apply local/regional requirements for labor relations.Ensure labor relation considerations with respect to existing and new processes.Collaborate with all global departments on compliance efforts for HR processes in light of labor relations and collective labor law requirements.Point of contact between the HR and legal departments for the creation of contracts in each country in consultation with the local legal firms.Ability to resolve doubts about contracts and local labor legislation in each country with the support of local legal firms.Guide labor relations set up for company expansions into new countries/geographies.Support business managers' capability in managing employee and labor situations.Identify trends insights and awareness of legislative changes for the employer-employee relationship.Ensure adherence to company policies and promote a positive employee experience.Partner and support business leaders in managing disciplinaries, grievances, absences and leaves, and complaints in in each country where the company is based.Identify opportunities for process improvement within HR department in line with the company strategy and overall business compliance processes.Support and advise the company and the employees regarding compliance with the applicable regulations and internal rules.Evaluate compliance risks and define controls and measures to avoid or mitigate them.Execute the controls defined to verify compliance with the applicable regulations and internal rules.Prepare and participate in workshops and/or trainings organized by the Compliance Team to promote a compliance culture in the company.Prepare and/or review internal rules and procedures to identify and avoid or mitigate compliance risks.Be aware of initiatives in the compliance area and participate in the implementation of these initiatives, both regulatory or technical, such as the use of new tools.Coordinate with external labor firms to be updated on legal requirements: protocols, plans…Labour inspections.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in labor relations, preferably with an international scope.Knowledge of Spanish labor law and additional experience in one of our core geographies (UK, Italy, France) is desirable.Ability to analyze data and legal information.Experience in managing external law firms and advisors.Languages: bilingual speaker in Spanish and English.
