Requirements and Languages   Bachelor degree.
1 to 3 years of professional experience in ESG for the financial sector (bank or asset management), Sustainability department in corporates, ESG rating agency or SPO providers, M&A, Due Diligence and Corporate Finance, or strategic consultancy firms with a strong focus on ESG (big four or similar).
English level.
C1, fluency in Spanish preferred.
Other skills required.
* Strong written and verbal communication.
* Proven analytical skills and strategic thinking.
* Understanding of ESG business drivers and KPIs.
* Understanding of ESG trends, concepts, regulation, ratings, taxonomies, reporting initiatives,...
* Understanding of ESG Ratings methodologies, Climate Performance Measurement SDGs and ways to measure the impact of a business in them.
* Understanding of sustainable finance products, bonds, loans, sustainable finance frameworks,...
* Prior experience in an ESG Research department with a strong sector focus (from sell or buy side), a Corporate Sustainability department or consulting firm with an ESG focus is an advantage.

About the job The day to day of this role will be to prepare client interactions and run presentations in front of clients based on the following services offered to corporate clients, in several sectors.
Sustainable Strategic Dialogue.
Provide a holistic ESG Advisory service to help Corporates achieve stronger sustainability standards while providing access to sustainable financing solutions.
Energy Transition & Net Zero Advisory.
Focus on Climate.
Sequenced advisory on decarbonisation and offsetting (NZ).
ESG Ratings Advisory.
Provide best-in-class ESG ratings advisory following a comprehensive 5 step process (including exhaustive recommendations to help the company enhance its ratings).
ESG Equity Advisory.
ESG Advisory as an input for strategic decisions and asset allocation.
Opportunity to scale up sustainable solutions to equity (M&A/ECM).
Cleantech Advisory.
Position BBVA as one of the key financiers and advisors in the global clean techs space, bringing expertise to our clients to help them finance the energy transition.
ESG Debt Advisory.
Provide ESG Advisory focused on Sustainable Finance (use of proceeds and/or KPI-linked in bond and loan markets) In summary, we provide clients specific actions and tailor-made services they can use to accelerate their transition to a sustainable future.
The team brings the sustainability expertise of the bank in the dialogue with clients ESG Advisory includes aspects of sustainable finance policies, governance, process frameworks, impact measurement and ensuring businesses are aligned with emerging compliance requirements and global standards The junior members of the team are expected to provide support and ideas to the senior members of the team.
