This time we are working for a company specialized in the manufacture of medical equipment, being a world leader, in the search of a Head of Sales Iberia.What is the position responsible for?As a key member of the local management team, the position will be responsible for contributing to the review and implementation of the local strategy and activities to achieve the annual objectives. In addition to the negotiation of contracts with key accounts ensuring proper collaboration with the field to serve priority groups.Essential Functions: Responsible for keeping the team engaged and motivated, ensuring appropriate day-to-day leadership and communication, agreeing specific action plans for the sales area and tracking results.Define the short, medium and long term training and development needs of the field sales and key account teams, working with other stakeholders and suppliers to ensure highly effective delivery and follow up of all development initiatives.Define the most appropriate approach to recruitment, ensure full involvement in all recruitment decisions and ensure ongoing succession planning for the team.Define staffing needs for major trade shows and events, ensuring that our presence and interactions with clients are as effective as possible.Organize and lead national sales meetings and conferences.Lead local or regional projects.Work enviroment:Role based in Madrid, with at least 50% travelling time within Iberia and occasional international travel.Represent the Company at exhibitions and seminars where required.What are we looking for in you?10+ years’ experience in sales, with proven success in building trade terms strategy and identifying growth opportunities.Background from structured companies, with a strong sales culture and mature control tools. Health care industry experience preferred.Comfortable in working with matrix organizations, local and international reporting lines, as well as comfort in managing distributors.Strong leadership, accustomed to lead sales force action and a history of cultivating meaningful customer solutions outside and in the contact lens industry.Language skills: proficient in reading and writing in English.
