HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT

Mackenzie Stuart have partnered with an exciting & established leader in the Solar & Wind market. We are looking for a Head of Development who can lead their expansion into new markets as well as help in the transition towards the Integrated Power Producer model.Job Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our Utility Scale business unit within the group. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing the development strategy for Utility Scale projects across various technologies. Reporting to the board of directors overseeing Utility Scale projects, you will champion project proposals to the investment committee while identifying and evaluating new opportunities. Responsibilities:Lead the Utility Scale business unit within the group.Define and implement the development strategy for Utility Scale projects across all technologies.Manage the development and project management teams for Utility Scale projects across different jurisdictions.Report to the company's board of directors responsible for Utility Scale projects, presenting and advocating for projects to the investment committee.Identify and assess new project opportunities.Supervise project planning, design, construction, and operation.Cultivate relationships with investors, stakeholders, and strategic partners.Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards across all projects.Oversee financial management and provide progress reports on projects.Stay informed about technological advancements and industry trends.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.Minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience in managing Utility Scale projects.Thorough understanding of the solar photovoltaic industry and its current trends.Experience in leading diverse teams.Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and forecasting.Comprehensive knowledge of renewable energy regulations in Europe, with a focus on solar energy.Proficiency in English (C1); French proficiency is advantageous.This role offers a competitive salary, with a great compensation package, and an opportunity to work with a fast & dynamic team.Please submit your CV/resume if you have the requisite skills as outlined above and are a highly competitive individual with excellent communication skills.
