What´s like to work in Softonic ! About the position The Head of Business Intelligence (BI) is responsible for leading and executing the organization's BI strategy, aligning it with business objectives.
They oversee the BI team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation, while also managing stakeholder relationships to ensure BI solutions meet business needs.
Additionally, the Head of BI plays a pivotal role in technology adoption, staying informed on industry trends, and optimizing BI tools for enhanced organizational performance.
REQUIREMENTS Key responsibilities   Develop and articulate the overall Business Intelligence strategy in alignment with the company's business objectives.
Provide visionary leadership to the Business Intelligence team, setting goals and objectives that align with the organization's strategic direction.
Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of the Business Intelligence team members.
oster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
nsure effective communication and coordination between different teams within the Business Intelligence department.
Engage with key stakeholders, including executives, to understand their business intelligence needs and priorities.
Collaborate with other department heads to align Business Intelligence initiatives with overall company goals.
Manage budgetary considerations for the Business Intelligence department, including resource allocation and technology investments.
Optimize the use of resources to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop and implement a long-term roadmap for Business Intelligence initiatives.
Identify emerging trends and technologies in Business Intelligence and recommend strategic adjustments.
Ensure that Business Intelligence solutions meet high-quality standards, aligning with industry best practices.
Establish and enforce data governance policies to maintain data integrity and security.
Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of Business Intelligence initiatives.
Regularly review and report on the performance of the Business Intelligence team.
Stay abreast of the latest technologies and tools in the Business Intelligence and analytics space.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies that can enhance the capabilities of the Business Intelligence function.
Identify potential risks and challenges related to Business Intelligence projects and formulate mitigation strategies.
nsure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the Business Intelligence team.
Implement feedback mechanisms and processes to learn from successes and failures.
Provide regular updates and reports to the executive leadership team on the progress and impact of Business Intelligence initiatives.
Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, negotiating contracts and ensuring value for money  Represent the organization in industry forums and conferences, showcasing thought leadership in Business Intelligence and data analytics.
Lead change initiatives within the Business Intelligence department and ensure smooth transitions during organizational changes.
Be prepared to handle crises or unexpected challenges related to data and business intelligence.
Minimum experience and qualifications   You have a bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or a related field degree.
You have at least +5 years of demonstrable experience leading a BI and/or Analytics function in a fast-paced environment.
Extensive experience in data engineering and data modeling.
Extensive expertise in visualization tools like Qlik or Tableau.
Expert in SQL Language.
Knowledge of Python.
Experience with Google Analytics   Experience working with Google Cloud Platform, specifically with BigQuery.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong work ethic and a compulsion to make a difference.
Data driven thinker with excellent quantitative skills.
Experienced in working with large data sets including statistical analyses, data visualization, data mining, and data cleansing/transformation.
Experience in leading and managing a BI team, including setting goals, performance management, and fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
Developing and executing a comprehensive BI strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives, including data governance, data quality, and data integration.
Experience in managing budgets related to BI projects and initiatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with business priorities.
Proficiency in change management processes, facilitating the adoption of BI solutions and ensuring the organization maximizes the value of its data assets.
You are a team player; we use agile methodologies, where the team members are in permanent contact.
Open mind and good communication skills are a must.
Attention to detail, meticulous and organized working habits.
Ability to multi-task and to adapt easily to change.
