At ING we are looking for Feature EngineerYour role and work environment:We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Feature Engineer to join our Data Management Tribe.The responsibility of this team is maintained and evolve the data platform that supports the bank's day-to-day operations.Your key responsibilities:As an experienced Feature Engineer, your aim will be:Provide knowledge, vision and structure to help find solutions to programs or complex IT environmentsDefine and collaborate with IT strategyRefine technical solution directions and technical dependencies drafted in the Epic in coordination with the Enterprise Architect, the Domain Architect and relevant Squad members and IT Chapter lead, using his/her in-depth IT/application knowledge.Verify the extent to which the realized Feature works as designed. He/she facilitates Feature planning, cooperation between Squads and the Tribe Team (if any) and Feature delivery; herewith maintaining close relationship with (business) counterpart(s)Create roadmaps and contribute to the strategy of the assets with an IT perspective to major transformations or complex changesGuide the squads to find the best solution according to the IT strategy and listening to tribe needs, prioritizing epics and featuresHelp align and resolve dependencies between squadsHelp prepare the QBR and Market PlacesMaintain contact with various stakeholders on all levels of the ING organisation, works together with them to achieve the purpose.Is the driving force to determine which trends are relevant for the bankIs a go-to person in specific areas of knowledge and for engineers even from other disciplinesDefine IT solution translating epic into features to be developed by software engineers, helping them to understand dependencies and works with domain architectWhat are we looking for?A person with a clear strategic vision of the bank and objectives of ITYou must know and understand the technology strategy applied to the tribe assets or productsWorking knowledge as software engineer, architect or similar position with tech backgroundHigh knowledge of the infrastructure and IT assets of thetribe domainSkills to Influence and Manage Stake HoldersWorks and acts rapidly based on intuition, instead of reasoning step-by-step;Knows the difference between important and less important detailsA person flexible and adaptable, capable of facing uncertainty, acquiring knowledge in various disciplines and updating it as often as necessaryAssertive Person, able to communicate clearly and directly, but adequatelyExperience in refining and designing features, challenge and advise Product Owners on feature dependencies and prioritiesExperience with the Agile way of workingFluent EnglishExperience designing and developing solutions in Data Platform Ecosystems, Microservices Architectures, background in DataOps, DWH and DL Patterns and data consumption.Experience in Oracle, IBM suite and/or Azure is a plus.What do we offer?The time you spend at work, the challenges you face or the lessons you get are very important, but… What about your personal life?
