Debido a que el objetivo de Médicos Sin Fronteras es brindar asistencia médica a las personas en dificultades, el trabajo puede realizarse en situaciones de conflicto activo o en entornos posteriores a conflictos, en los que existen riesgos inherentes, peligro potencial y amenazas continuas para la seguridad.
Médicos Sin Fronteras reconoce que es imposible excluir todos los riesgos, pero hace todo lo posible como organización para mitigar y gestionar estos riesgos a través de protocolos de seguridad estrictos y completos.
Los trabajadores de terreno estarán completamente informados del riesgo asociado con una posible misión antes de aceptar una misión en particular.
