DEVOPS ENGINEER

1. General PurposeEOLOS is a Floating Lidar Company that designs, manufactures and operates its floating lidar systems (FLS200s). As a data-selling company, EOLOS is committed to delivering top quality data to the offshore wind industry. In this regard, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing data-driven solutions to our clients, as well as supporting internal projects. The candidate will be responsible for delivering and sustaining a scalable code infrastructure to ensure the best quality in ETL pipelines as well as CI/CD frameworks.The ideal candidate should hold a STEM degree and have a solid background in programming and cloud computing, also should has experience building products across the stack and a firm understanding of web frameworks. The full stack developer will join a small team that uses new technology to solve challenges for both the front-end and back-end architecture, ultimately delivering amazing experiences.2. Main Job Tasks and ResponsibilitiesWork across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth.Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement data pipelines and ETL processesCollaborate with data engineers to setup and maintain CI/CD pipelines.Develop efficient algorithms and data structures to process, store, and retrieve large datasets.Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of software and data systems.Document software design, code, and system configurations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, data scientists, and IT professionals.Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.Support data queries from clients in commercial projectsDevelop and implement ate related services to be offered to clientsAnalyze large and complex data sets to identify trends and patternsWork with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop data-driven strategiesUse data visualization tools to present insights and recommendations to stakeholdersStay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in data science and machine learningDevelop and implement predictive models using advanced statistical techniques3. Education and Experience required Strong programming skills in Python, MATLAB, C++, R, Java SQL or other programming languages, with experience in delivering high quality scalable and maintainable code.Familiar with CI/CD environment (git and pipelines)Solid understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.Experience with database management systems (DBMS) and data modeling.Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks, such as Hadoop or Spark.Knowledge of wind, waves, currents, and renewable energy is highly desirable.Experience in remote sensing is highly valuedHighly motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a teamStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail3 years of experience in data systems or a related fieldStrong knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining techniquesExperience with data visualization tools such Power BIKnowledge of Microsoft tools and Azure. Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure DevOps is highly valued.Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka is a plus4.
