We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer Trainee in Madrid, who is willing to join a fresh, agile, entrepreneur environment. The ideal candidate would be pursuing a Computer Science Degree or training in Data Engineering tasks. Recently graduated applicants would also be considered.The candidate should have problem-solving mindset, with a strong hands-on attitude who is looking to execute day to day tasks to support the different clients and project.The candidate would like to work in an exciting and flexible environment, focusing on performance, using the latest technologies. This role is based in Madrid. What you will doSupport the Data Engineering team to complete the migration of existing data pipelines due to a change in data model and format for a large number of datasets.ETL configurations in order to ingest new DDM datasets into our platformroot cause for ETL issues and apply appropriate correctionsquality controlto improve technical documentationimplement and maintain data integration code based on Python and PySpark where required.a wide range of data-driven projects working on assigned projects to meet client project requirements and deadlines.Your qualificationsThe following software engineering familiarizations are desirableTechnologies: JSON, Python.Architecture: Cloud (MS Azure preferred), Azure Data Factory and Databricks.Platforms: Understanding the Azure service catalogDatabases: Knowledge with SQL Server, PostgreSQL and/or Snowflake is a plus.Others: Interest in Business Intelligence and Process Improvements.Ideal soft skills:passionate, intellectual curiosity, self-starter, embracing continuous improvement, execution-oriented, change driver.spirit, quick learner, flexible and ability to adapt to change.player, highly qualified to build internal and external relationships.high self-motivation and ambition.orientated, competitive and comfortable in challenging situationscommunication and interpersonal skillsis our working language.
