As a Data Engineer, you'll be focused on designing, building, and optimizing their data ecosystem.
Your primary focus will be on ensuring the delivery of high-quality and trustworthy data.
Main responsibilities include.
Pipeline Development.
Lead the creation and optimization of data pipelines supporting analytics, data science, and machine learning applications.
Data Modeling.
Architect scalable data models to accommodate growing datasets and complex business needs.
Data Platform Construction.
Develop a robust data platform tailored for data storage, management, and large-scale processing.
This includes managing scheduling components and building essential libraries.
Data Governance Collaboration.
Work closely with the global data governance team to ensure full compliance with data privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA.
Standardization & Collaboration.
Collaborate with Engineering counterparts to craft a standardized data library, catalog, and instrumentation, promoting consistency across the organization.
Performance Optimization.
Drive continuous enhancements in system reliability, performance, scalability, and overall data quality.
Own and monitor relevant KPIs.
Code Excellence.
Develop state-of-the-art code and play an instrumental role in shaping the software development culture within the team.
Establish and advocate for best practices in software engineering, particularly in instrumentation.
Knowledge Sharing.
Stay at the forefront of Big Data technology evolution and ensure this knowledge is disseminated across the organization.
Promote best practices and established standards.
What do we value? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Previous work experience in data engineering roles, software development, or related fields.
Azure Databricks experience is required.
Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data architectures.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Experience with Big Data tools and technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
Knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases, as well as query languages like SQL.
Ability to design and build robust and efficient data pipelines.
Experience in building data platforms for storage, management, and large-scale processing.
Familiarity with data modeling techniques and database schema design.
Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
