CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Poised to disrupt the mobile gaming industry, we are partnering with a pre-seed stage studio of five people to find a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a strong backend background to lead their technical endavuors and shape the future of the company.Role Overview:As the CTO, you will play a crucial role in defining and executing our technical strategy, with a specific emphasis on backend systems and infrastructure. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the technical function in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend solutions that power their mobile games. This is a unique opportunity to join them at the ground level and drive the technological innovation that will propel the company forward.Key Responsibilities:Backend Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive backend strategy aligned with business objectives, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance in their games.Backend Development: Lead the design, development, and optimization of the backend systems, including server architecture, databases, APIs, and other infrastructure components.Technology Stack: Evaluate and recommend the most suitable backend technologies, frameworks, and tools for their projects, staying informed about industry trends and best practices.Infrastructure Management: Establish and maintain robust infrastructure and operational processes to support their gaming platforms, including cloud-based solutions and monitoring tools.Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, game designers, artists, and product managers, to ensure seamless integration of backend systems with frontend applications.Innovation: Drive innovation in their backend technologies and processes, exploring new approaches to optimize performance, enhance security, and streamline development workflows.Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges in their backend projects, proactively mitigating issues and implementing contingency plans to ensure projects success.Qualifications:Proven experience as a technology leader with a strong background in backend development, particularly in the mobile gaming industry.Expertise in backend technologies, frameworks, and platforms, such as cloud computing, server architecture, databases, APIs, and DevOps practices.Hands-on experience with backend development languages and tools, such as Python, Java, Node.js, SQL, NoSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a technical team towards achieving common goals.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for innovation, problem-solving, and driving results in a fast-paced startup environment.If you're a visionary technology leader with a passion for backend development and a drive to revolutionise the mobile gaming industry, we want to hear from you!
