About the role.
As the Business Data Owner for the Product Master Data Department, the primary purpose of this role is to take ownership of the product data lifecycle within the designated business expertise area.
This includes determining when, what, how, and why a product should be created, ensuring data integrity, and strategically leveraging product data to align with organizational objectives.
The role involves establishing and enforcing data governance policies, collaborating with stakeholders, and translating business needs into effective data strategies.
The Business Data Owner is expected to act as an expert in product technology, building strong relationships with vendors and business units having a strong link with the BU Leaders), and resolving conflicts related to data definitions and usage.
This role is key in ensuring the optimization and monetization of the Master data in their business area, and will be the key role in the future organization we are building.
What you will do.
Owner of Product Master Data in their BU knowledge Oversee and manage product data integrity and ensure its strategic utilization Establish data governance policies, standards, and procedures for specific business product data Collaborate with stakeholders to align data management strategies with organizational objectives Bring product technology expertise to the role Resolve conflicts related to data definitions and usage, across BUs, vendors and countries What we are looking for.
>5 to 8 Years of relevant work experience >1 to 3 Years of experience directly managing / supervising employees Professional proficiency in English is a MUST Able to perform complex mathematical calculations.
Able to demonstrate complex problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making.
Good communication skills to convey necessary information clearly and to create and conduct formal presentations.
Able to interact effectively with high levels of management (managers & above.) negotiating and selling ideas persuasively.
Possesses strong leadership skills with a willingness to lead, create new ideas, and be assertive.
Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines Able to maintain and promote social, ethical, and organizational standards in conducting internal and external business activities.
Desire to work within a dynamic team environment.
Advantageous experience in Agile ways of working with great organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
