Descripción de puesto.
An opportunity for an Avionics Surveillance System Engineer has arisen within the Avionics-Surveillance domain at Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, Madrid.
Task and Responsibilities.
The successful applicant will join the group in charge of Surveillance Systems dealing with Enhanced Vision (HUD, HMD, EFVS, SVS), Anti-collision (TCAS, XPDR), Military Identification (IFF), Terrain Awareness (TAWS), Weather Radar (WxR) and Emergency Locators (ELT) across all Airbus Defence and Space program lines.
As a successful candidate you will participate to the technical design and the development of Surveillance System and in particular on electrical system installation design.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include.
- Design and Validate Electrical harnesses and Equipment installation with associated Design Principles for avionics systems.
- Elaborate engineering design documentation - Support the whole design process - Support Certification and Qualification process - Support transversal areas such as Services, Production, Procurement, etc.
- Background Knowledge on avionics and in particular on Surveillance, Air Data & Navigation Data systems.
Skills and Experience.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience.
- Between 3 and 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering or development of Avionics Systems, preferably within Surveillance and Navigation System.
- Educated in an Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent - Experience on electrical design methods & tools (SeeXp, SIDIE, EPD VAULT, SNT..) - Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering ‘MBSE’ methods & tools (i.
.
Mathlab, Simulink).
- Strong Spanish and English skills (negotiation level).
- Ability to work under strict timescales as part of an integrated and multifunctional team.
- Good communication skills and pro-active approach to problem solving.
