AUTOMATION ENGINEER

Por qué te necesitamos? This position will provide leadership in the implementation and support of plant automation, systems integration, electrical systems, and data acquisition systems for the NorPro business.
This role will look at all equipment controls and upgrade when items become obsolete.
The Automation Engineer will manage the plant automation program, including managing the Automation Technician.
This position will be responsible for training maintenance technicians in the automation fields, along with troubleshooting equipment as needed.
The Automation Engineer will define projects and implement actions to assist in the Digital and Automation transformation of Bryan, TX and other NorPro locations.
• Develop and maintain the PLC programming code, PLC software/hardware, and update systems as needed.
•Develop and maintain documentation for automation systems and processes.
This Includes compliancy documentation where needed by upper management.
• Perform technical analysis activities, such as requirements gathering and gap analysis of user requirements to define a roadmap forward, troubleshooting equipment/programs, to develop solutions for breakdown reductions.
• Develop, evaluate, and improve plant process information systems.
• Independently manage a workload consisting of long-term projects and unplanned day-to-day priorities.
• Participate in strategic and tactical planning sessions, must be able to work independently as well as part of the team.
• Manage/lead the plant automation program, including managing the Automation Technician • Execute capital projects to improve processes, and/or obsolete systems.
• Expand Digital Automation systems within the Bryan, TX plant and within the entire NorPro organization by working with the Digital team.
• Maintain electrical equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory codes.
• Maintain technical competence and keep informed on new developments in materials, process technology, and product applications to ensure that the most appropriate methods and materials are used • Coordinate with plant personnel to assist in the development of plant MES system.
• Train maintenance/operations on plant control systems, including internal driving training material.
