ACTUARIAL BUSINESS STEERING FUNCTION

Dónde vas a trabajar? Leading International Insurance Company based in Madrid ¿Qué harás en tu nuevo puesto? This Role has a pivotal role in our structure, providing leadership and direction for the planning and business steering function.
The Actuarial Business Steering Function must ensure the set-up of an appropriate steering framework, ensuring the integrity and reliability of key metrics.
VNB monthly creation, evolution of CSM and operating profit, SII ratio, RoE SII, RoE IFRS17, NB RoRac.
You will report to the Life &Health Thecnical Director.
The key responsibilities are.
Involved in the planning initiatives and revised budget processes with the finance team to ensure business comments are in the right direction, and appropriate business drivers are in place in order to maximize value and minimize risks for the company.
Helping the Life team achieve their business goals, providing food for thoughts or pose challenging questions as needed.
Support the performance management process in monthly business reviews to identify trends and initiative discussions with leaders to provide timely advice and support.
Support key initiatives related to products, pricing and underwriting, especially during product planning phase and post-launch monitoring.
Support key projects that tie to strategic priorities, including but not limited to optimize product mix by channel to ensure annual margin enhancement, review product and business desirable product mix and profitability, prepare ad hoc analysis on business /financial topics/ products.
Participate in cutting-edge projects like M&A projects.
¿A quién buscamos (H/M/D)? Master or above in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics.
Extensive experience (+ years) in the Life Actuarial area in Consultant or Insurance Company in business related functions (Underwriting, Risk, Actuarial) Strong experience with ALM modelling and life actuarial software.
Risk Agility Financial Modeling (RAFM) is a must.
Programming skills in R, Python, and expertise in machine learning would be beneficial.
Familiarity working with SAS databases.
Strong understanding about the main insurance product types, investment, risk implications and accounting (e.
.
Solvency II, IFRS 17, etc.) Key Competence Strategic mind-set with solid modelling and business planning skills.
Strong modelling ALM experience and solid experience in IFRS 17 and Solvency II for Life.
Detail orientation.
Excellent analytical, data analysis and presentation skills Ability to develop and build relationships.
Highly motivated by new challenges, able to work as a team as well as independently.
Able to take initiative and work with less supervision.
