Currently we are in collaboration with venture capital platform that invest across Europe.While industry-agnostic, they are steering towards funds and companies engaged in frontier tech.Position Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Senior Principal to join the team. This position offers a trajectory towards a partner role, contingent upon performance and alignment with the fund's long-term vision. The ideal candidate will bring a unique blend of operational and investment expertise, with a strong foundation in technical knowledge to understand the underlying technologies of VC's investment focus. This role is pivotal in driving the fund’s growth, strengthening investment strategy, and nurturing relationships with emerging managers and entrepreneurs.Key Responsibilities:Investment Strategy and Execution:Lead the identification, evaluation, due diligence, and execution of investment opportunities (specially in companies as main focus but also in funds together with the founding partners)Monitor and manage portfolio performance, providing strategic guidance to portfolio funds and companies.Relationship Management:Develop and maintain relationships with fund managers, entrepreneurs, and co-investors.Represent the fund at industry events, panels, and forums to foster a strong network within the VC ecosystem.Operational Excellence:Oversee the operational aspects of the fund including deal structuring and negotiations.Work closely with the existing partners to streamline the investment process and enhance the fund’s operational efficiency.Mentorship and Team Development:Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Contribute to building a collaborative, inclusive, and diverse team environment.Qualifications:Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or a related field.Proven track record of successful investments and portfolio management.Technical education from a reputable institution, enabling a deep understanding of underlying technologies pertinent to our investment focus.Exceptional network within the venture capital and entrepreneurial community.Demonstrated ability in fundraising and a strong network among Limited Partners (LPs) is highly valuable.Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.MBA or equivalent degree from a top-tier institution is preferred.International business environment with English as the primary language of communication; proficiency in Spanish is not required.MBA or equivalent degree from a top-tier institution is preferred.A strong understanding of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and their application to investment strategies will be highly valuedOffer:Career Growth: A trajectory towards a partner role, subject to exceptional performance and strategic alignment with the fund’s vision.Professional Development: Continuous learning and development opportunities to expand your skill set and network within the VC ecosystem.Collaborative Environment: Work alongside a dedicated and experienced team committed to achieving collective success.Competitive Compensation: Attractive compensation package including base salary, bonus, and carried interest.
